When designing a mining gas sampling system, consider: 

  • Gas temperature and dew point
  • Presence of corrosive gases (SO₂, H₂S, acids)
  • Hazardous area classification (Zone 1 / Zone 2)
  • Tubing length and diameter
  • Required analyzer flow rate (SLPM)

👉 Tip: Incorrect sizing leads to condensation, inaccurate measurements, and increased maintenance costs. 

Condensation forms when gas drops below its dew point, introducing liquid into the system. This causes analyzer drift, corrosion, and pump damage, leading to unreliable measurements.
